Artists: apply through May 31 for inclusion on school resource roster
CARSON CITY, Nevada — Nevada artists may apply through May 31 to be included in the Nevada Arts Council Artists in Schools + Communities Roster. The roster is a statewide, online resource for schools, organizations and communities seeking to engage artists who conduct educational and cultural experiences for students and community members. Teaching artists practicing arts integration, STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, the Arts and Math education), traditional arts and creative aging are encouraged to apply.
Applications undergo an open panel review consisting of out-of-state and in-state artists, arts administrators and educators. Artists who are accepted onto the roster will remain for a four-year term. For guidelines, a link to the online application and to see the current Artists in Schools + Communities Roster, click here.
